We played with pretend ice cream.
This was made by refrigerating wet baking soda mixed with drink mix. It is surprisingly fun to play with.
We painted pictures of ice cream with special paint. After microwaving the pictures, they are puffy and look like melted ice cream.
But better than making pretend ice cream was making real ice cream!
One side of the ice cream ball is filled with ice and salt. We filled the other side with milk, sugar, and vanilla extract.
Then the ball must be rolled and rolled and rolled. For at least 20 minutes. This really left us no choice but to multitask. While we davened, we passed the ball around.
Finally, at snack we enjoyed the delicious ice cream!
I scream, you scream, we all loved the ice cream!
